Sacramento, CA – April 17, 2024 – CLTRE, a community-focused development corporation, announces a significant milestone in its initiative to revitalize neighborhoods and promote economic inclusion.
Following months of strategic planning and collaboration, CLTRE and development partner Vertical Pacific Development have successfully secured site control of a 0.52 acre parcel along the Del Paso Blvd Corridor in North Sacramento.
By gaining exclusive land rights for future development, CLTRE is one step closer to realizing the community’s vision for a vibrant cultural hub that celebrates art, culture, and creativity.
“Gaining site control is a meaningful step towards community ownership and inclusive economic development,” said Roshaun Davis, founder and executive director of CLTRE. “It signals our commitment to disrupting traditional real estate practices that have historically excluded communities like ours from ownership opportunities.”
The future development project, guided by principles of affordability, sustainability, and cultural preservation, will prioritize workforce housing, community impact, and corridor revitalization. Plans include the construction of 75 affordable rental units designed to meet the diverse needs of the community, alongside micro live-work spaces for small business incubation.
“We believe in creating spaces that are in right relationship with culture,” adds Davis. “Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging and empower individuals to thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavors.”
